that's strange. they have the 5900xt listed as 400/850. The last specs I saw were 390/700. hmmm...

check out the discussion on their forum also. I'm not sure where they got the pricing, but you can get a 5900xt for well under $200.

best bang for the buck now looks like the ati 9800pro and nvidia 5900xt by looking at other reviews. but you can't please everybody. :rolleyes:

I was thinking of a new Video card, I have the TI4600 right now, which I love, but how would either ATI or the Nvidia Card be better than my TI4600? I have been looking for some Benchies for anything against my TI, but I cant seem to find, the only thing that is a bother to me is that my TI does not have DX9 support, if you where to pick a card what one would you take over my TI?

if you want to stick with nvidia, then the 5900xt or plain 5900 would be good. Look for the Leadtek 5900xts ($190 at newegg). I heard they have 2.2ns ram that you can OC pretty high. see the firingsquad review in my previous post.

If you have more $$$, then you can look at the 5950 or 9800xt. $400 is kinda steep for a video card, though. just my opinion.

This has to be one of the worse things to do in these days, its hard to pick out a good Video card, the only thing that is holding me back from Getting any Video card is the fact that Nvidia is going to start using DDR3 but will that make a Huge difference in performance? I am going to get a new one though, but what one lol, as long as they beat of my TI4600 easy I dont mind which one I buy. Ill have to sell of my TI4600, man and all the modding I did with that baby I loved that card any takers .;)

Think your right, I did spend that On my TI4600 when it came out frist, but then it was well worth it.
