Could somebody recommend a good animated gif editor? I'm wanting to make my own custom avatar. I've used Gifworks online and I've tried Advanced Gif Editor but haven't liked them much. Freeware is nice but if it's not I'll still try it. Just wanting to avoid big-dollar programs like ImageReady/Photoshop/Paintshop Pro.

If its for a one off jobbie download the PSP demo and use the included Animation Shop application

Search for "Easy GIF Animator 2.0". It's less the 20 bucks after the trial period. I used it a while back and it worked good.

Ukulele, I'll try that one too. I got the job done with PSP but it is a bit over my head.
