C'mon, no techies out there? Surely someone knows what I'm missing. Please? http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
Thanks everyone, for at least reading these posts.
Dave

Thanks for trying pstguide, but my problem is I can't even get video to see the startup BIOS screen. Anyone else? I'm dying here on this thing. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Are you hearing any noises from the system, or any lights coming on?

Make sure your memory is in fully, as well as the video card.

It seems that Jumper settings on the MB would be the culprit. Probably should recheck jumpers for CPU voltage and clock speed. Also memory bus speed settings should be check to ensure proper 66/100MHz speed. It's difficult to think that you would miss this, however, even as only a reminder...
I'm sure you already reset the CMOS?

I fire 'em up with video and memory only, and the pc speaker hooked up for any beep codes. The only time I've failed to get video under those circumstances, was when I forgot to change the "clear cmos" jumper.

Thanks ya'll. I was hoping I had missed something. I hate to think I have some new parts that don't work. Susan: The memory is in fully and has been changed out twice so I know it's not the chip. Same thing with the video card. I get a hdd led and a power led when I fire up. It start to read the h/d but stops there. It never produces a video signal to the monitor and it doen't go to floppy seek. After about 5 minutes the hdd led goes out. I have another board coming this week so I'll try the chip on that on too. At least I have a warranty on the board. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif The chip too, for that matter.
BleedingEdge and magk9: Yep, I've cleared CMOS more than once already and I have double and triple checked the jumpers. Intel's just hate me, I guess.
Thank you all. I'll keep you posted and let you know what was wrong as soon as I find out. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
