I am removing one of the hdd's i have for storage in my main rig and using it for another pc. I have removed all my data from it but there is still 1.8gig of system restore info on there. is there any way to transfer it to other drives or will i just have to do a restore point after taking the drive out?
Thx.

The restore info is specific to the old PC. It will be rebuilt automatically there.
Let me warn you that you cannot expect to copy a drive with Windows on it to a new PC and expect it to work. If you are just copying a secondary drive, that's fine.

Thx.
Sussed it by turning system restore off on that drive b4 removing it. (doh)
Also found out that 12% of all drives was reserved for system restore. A bit excessive when u have 400GB.
Now i have room for ut2k4.(5.3gig ffs!!!)

Maxblast wouldn't even do a clean clone and copy to a new drive I bought last week, under windows or using the floppy - go figure
