Ever since I installed some new memory in my system, I've been having these error messages crop up. On top of that, the computer acts like it has LESS memory instead of MORE memory! I even went and used memmaker and I have Win95! Anyway, I have a 133 mhz Packard Bell Force 1990 running Win95, 16 meg original and added 32 meg of 60ns 72-pin EDO non-parity memory, in two chips of 16megs each as my system requires memory in two's. I have four banks in my system. I do not know the manufacturer of the system as I bought it used, I mean the MB. I reseated the memory and checked for loose connections inside the computer. I also have an ethernet card and thus, a LAN. The error messages are I/O error #183 and richedit line insertion error, what the heck these mean I haven't been able to find out. I suspect it is the new memory but I have no knowledge about memory. Someone have an idea? I also bought a new keyboard at the same time.
