Computer lags every 30 seconds to 1 minute. Help!!

Hi

I think it could be something to do with my network card but im not sure. Ill be doing stuff and ill be moving my mouse to click on something and it will lag for a sec and then go. I think it could be my pci slot. I have 3 slots but it seems like only 1 works right(which im using for sound card) could my pci slots be the problem. It seems like ive had problems with them in the past. Is there a setting i can change or something i can do to fix this? is it my pci slot?

Can you let us know what hardware you have in it? Also, go into system properties and see if there are any yellow exclamations.

Did this happen soon after you installed the NIC?

Yeah it has to be something to do with my NIC card. I just removed it(software) and when i restarted i didnt install the drivers i just canceled and now im not laggin. SO now what should i do? when i install the drivers I lag?
