Are there any pictoriall views on how to wire up this mobo on the net somewhere? Also, I'm building it for a co-worker who intends to take it to the phillipines. Is there anything I should do now to get it ready as far as connections are concerned? I'm not sure of the voltage over there. I'd appreciate any tips. Thanks. Laterz. :t

Don't you have a manual? Get one here...
http://www.ecsusa.com/downloads/manual_k7v.html
You'll need to know your PCB/Version.
Good luck! :D

I have 2 sets of wires that have written on them mic-in, gnd,R-out, R-in..the other set has mic-in, gnd, L-out, L-in. Where should I plug those? Aren't those the rear and front audio connections? The audio connector on the mobo has 9 pins. Except that 4 are jumpered. My mobo Version is 1. Thanks.

Those should be for your front case audio connection. See page 26 of the manual.
See attachment too...
Good luck! :D

But why are those pins jumpered on that board? Pins 5 and 6 and 9 and 10? Should I remove them and just plug the wires in there? That's why I like Soyo mobos. They are very simple and self explanitory. ECS you need to know your way around or know ahead of time what to do by experience. laterz.

Left/right audio->return are jumpered closed, so that the board's own audio connectors work. If you take the jumper off to use a case front audio connection, they stop working - and it's electrically correct like that. You can't have two analog audio jacks off the same signal.

For all the possible connections I could of made. I think the audio plug is dead. Because I have everything else wired fine. It all works it all does what it's supposed to do. But when I plug in speakers ( I've used 3 different powered type ) nothing comes out of them. So I figure it's something on the board. I went out and bought a cheap $14.00 PCI sound card. I'm building it for a co-workers friend. So I told him about the problem. I do not have that much time to remove the board and return. My all time record for returning a mobo was last year. I returned an ECS K7S5A Pro 5 times in a week!!!!!!!!!! It never booted up because it was defective. I've hated ECS products. BTW I ended up keeping the CPU ( it was a bundle pak ) I gave the mobo to a buddy of mine. He used it for 6 months and it died on him all of a sudden!!! What piles of **** even for a budget. Oh well, I ended up buying a Gigabyte GA-7VAXP and that is still going strong!!!! ECS sucks....if it wasn't for good bundles that included a Athlon CPU. I would NEVER BUY ECS!!!!!! :x

Sounds more like you need to hone your skills rather than rant at manufacturers. Defect rates anywhere near what you claim are unseen with _any_ mainboard manufacturer.
