Which board is better? Also, what is the difference in performance, if any, between the Nforce2 SPP chipset (that the 8RDA+ uses) and the Nforce Ultra 400 (that the Epox 8RDA3+ uses)?

What revision of the 8rda+ are we talkign about?

Also, remember the 8rda+ is discontinued and can no longer be bought new.

As for the 8rda3+, ive heard its not the most consistent of overclockers when compred to the 8rda+ and NF7-S and that the 'onboard' goodies (sound, LAN, etc) arent up to the same quality as those of the 8rda+/NF7-S

It's been discontinued? I really didn't know that. Why was it discontinued? How many revision of the 8RDA+ are there?

The reason why I'm asking, is because I see a few shops around my area which are still selling these (but I'm not sure whether they have stocks).

So what's this Nforce2 SPP chipset?

SPP designates a standard full ATX motherboard chipset - no video.

IGP designates a chipset with video integrated - usually a Micro-ATX board.

The 8RDA+ had two versions - 1.0 and 2.0. It's very difficult to tell the difference. The northbridge chip is all black on version 2.0. It's silver/black on version 1.0. You have to pop off the heatsink to check it.

Just get the NF-7S.
