I've read these posts and some come close but no cigar. I found your site very helpful in many ways but I have a question that I didn't see there. Over the past year and a half, I've built probably 20 or so computers, all AMD or Cyrix. I have tried to build 3 Intels but on boot-up, I can never get a screen to come up and the floppy doesn't power on, and I get no beep codes at all (AMI BIOS). The m'board is brand new, as is the video card and ram. I've checked everything I can think of, all hardware, etc., but the problem
persists. Is there something different about Intel chips that I should be doing that I don't have to do with AMD or Cyrix chips?
Please help me with this before I go postal! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif This has happened with 2 Intel MMX chips and 1 Intel PII chip. I know that all the
components are good so that's what is baffling me. Any help ya'll could provide would be greatly appreciated. BTW, It's a PII 266 chip, a PCWare M729 PC100 m'board, 32 meg 66mHZ RAM, and a Diamond Viper 330 AGP video card. I hope that ya'll can help me some. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
Thanks!
