Getting an error on a PC here at work...Google is not my friend today:confused:

It is a few month old machine, XP Pro, all the security updates, etc., Office XP Pro, all updates, SP3, etc.

Same hardware as mine, actually...

Anyways...tried the Office repair, tried the reinstall...no avail.

Here is the jist of the error message popping up. Granted, once OK is clicked, Outlook functions perfectly fine and normal.

No luck on a .dll search...

Message Follow:

The add-in "C:\WINDOWS\System32\PWECHEXT32.dll" could not be installed or loaded. This problem may be resolved by using the Detect and Rpair on teh Help menu. Unable to load "C:\WINDOWS\System32\PWECHEXT32.dll".
You may be out of memory, out of system resources, or missing a .dll file.

It's an HP, P4, 2.6 HT, with 512MB RAM, 512 set Pagefile...(was system managed) Still...just an annoyance.

Any ideas out there? I can't find this .dll on my PC, but...I upgraded to Office 2003 Pro...

Thanks!

Either try using outlook /safe from the command prompt

then go into tools / options / other /advanced options / addin manager and untick the offending program!

or click install and reinstall it!

Standard office uninstall has never worked
there is a proper msoffice removal tool on the net

if you do want to do it
do the uninstall
then make sure you manually remove the msoffice directory
there are a couple of other files including .inis that dont get rmoeved either and registry edits if you are feeling brave
