Help putting new sound card in with existing one on motherboard!!

Hi,

I had the c-media sound chip built on the motherboard and it was giving me all kinds of problems so i went out and bought a new Pci card. How am i suppose to install it with the other one on the motherboard? I disabled all sound stuff from the device manager but when i restarted it installed the new one but it said it was conflicting with and address or something. Please help! Any input would be nice?

I had a tx pro with onboard video and sound.Both of the functions had either juper or bios setting to disable the functions.You might want to look through the manual,bios or jumpers.

In bios you can turn off onboard sound chip. Look there

Your both right.
Some have the jumper and some bios.
Depends on what model PcChips special he has.
