This is very strange (to me). I have an msi km4m board with a serial mouse attached and 1 hard drive (works fine). Once I attach my second hard drive to it as a slave and set drive one as master the serial port goes dead. Ie the mouse will not function but windows doesn't say that a mouse is not found. I've been having trouble using this serial port so I formatted a new drive and installed fresh win98 and the port worked fine with a mouse (for testing purpose) but adding that second drive stops it. any ideas why the 2nd hard drive would kill it?
