My 4.2 cats gave me a score of 5840ish in 3d2k3 build 340.

I installed the new 4.3 cats today.

Now I'm getting 5885ish. :)

Keep in mind, these are approved Futuremark drivers.

I *HOPE* they fix the fugly black-block **** in Deus Ex: Invisible War. Later tonight I'll install it and report back.

I never had any issues with Deus Ex using the Omega drivers. The pixel shader improvement over the 4.2 Omega's is noticeable in DX:IW, but I've read it doesn't show in 3Dmark'03 compared the 4.2's. This is one of those times the benches (at least going by others) don't correlate to gameplay, but with how badly done the engine is, I'm not surprised.

Having to run at a lower overclock now thanks to my stupidity yet running with a higher multisampling setting and using patch 1.1 for DX:IW. Still gives me better frames with a 10% drop in core speeds running double the AA.

have you used the 1.2 patch?

and why do you use the Omegas? I've heard they make things look better, but really I'm loving my new Rad9800pro for the natural state of eye-candy-ness.

Nope, haven't bothered to D/L the patch really. Just getting it can be a pain on dialup with all the flash they used, not to mention the time I'd have to spend d/ling it if it is any real size. Don't really play the game all that much now to be bothered with it.

I use the Omega's as generally they greater compatibilty with games from the original driverm not to mention added image quality. I don't notice any real difference in any games as far as FPS goes.

I liek the new 4.3's, as for the blend/AA issue in Deus Ex 2, it was fixed with Cat 4.2

of note:
cats 4.2 in 2k1se yeilded about 16956
cats 4.3 in 2k1se gives me 17412

edit: running the math, the new cats give me a 2.62% increase in DX8 games, but only a .76% increase in DX9. I wonder how 3dmark 2000 would behave....

Jack,
you say that block issue was fixed in cats 4.2? Hmmm. I thought I'd tested it with 4.2 and had no improvement. It is possible that I was using 4.1 and never reinstalled after getting the 4.2s.

Mr. Bacon,
why laugh? I'm happy to take the increase. And this is stock, not OCed.
