I got a old school computer that im building to sell. Specs are....
SY6be+ soyo MOBO. I got 383 ram pc 100 and a PIII 500 overclocked to 550. Its a pretty lame setup but i got this vid card. Its a geforce 4 440mx. A pretty good card. and since the guy was selling it for 10 bucks i couldn't pass it up. I also noticed that it was 2x compatable. so i put it in. no worrys. but ive been overclocking it with riva tool. i was just wondering if 2x agp would really slow it down that much? and if not how could i get the perfect overclocking settings for riva tool. I just need hints on how this geforce card can wake up this old school computer.

AGP 2x really wouldn't be the bottleneck here, it's the other parts. Overclocking might increase your speed a little, but don't expect miracles. Here's a good guide on overclocking your video card: http://www.sysopt.com/articles/VCOGuide/index.html

Really! I need to possibly run unreal2004 demo. i doubt it will work. but if so what kinda steps i need to take to make my computer faster. Im thinking of getting a new mobo and prosseser later but i still want to make this one work

You could try updating all your drivers. What Windows version do you have?

A PIII would work with Unreal 2004, but it would be in the minimum requirements range. The graphics card is fine for this game.

Yeah, that would be real nice for UTK2004. Just don't turn details so high. I have a 1.2 ghz celeron with a Geforce FX 5200 and I run UTK2004 at 1024x768x16 with shadows on and I get smooth game play. You should probably be able to run 800x600x16 with ease. How many memory slots are still available on your motherboard? More memory could be a help with game performance.
