Network Buffers...

I am running a pretty busy web server on my machine using OmniHTTPd Pro as a server.
But when I go to netscape, email or try to do anything else on the net, it says the system is out of network buffers...
what is this....what determines how many network buffers you have? How do you increase this ammount? How would I increase my net
server performance?
