firefox and any other mozilla

Hi, mozilla is great and all... but there is something that really bothers me with it, when i download a file for some unknown reason it cuts off the first 2 letters of that file... every single time... i do not understand why anybody know how to fix this?

I have never experienced that with Firefox. Perhaps your AV program is doing that - or worse yet, you have a virus.

i've been using mozilla for about a year now and i've formatted many times in the last year and every time i install mozilla i get the same thing... its just really strange

Got the same problem with Firefox 0.8, however i've narrowed it down to only specific sites, the main culprit for me is Fileplanet and it's public servers.

i format often because i play around a lot and screw things up .. hehe, it gives me something to do and i have a secondary drive with all my stuff backed up so all i gotta do is reinstall apps and games ... *shrug*
