I'm using the free 3D mark Max to bench mark my machine and wondered if anyone else was getting dodgy results.
Overclocking my V3 3000 graphics card from 120 - 135Mhz reduces fps in games and lowers my 3d and cpu scores.
I'm running a pII 450 Mhz cpu with 128 meg memory a soyo 6ba+ mother board and the voodoo 3 3000 and the picture quality according to the benchmark is shocking.
Any ideas?

What o/c util are u using? 120mhz on v3 3000?
Default mhz is 166, and i have mine at 180mhz.
Yep sounds like you are actually underclocking your card.
You should be able to get somewhere between 166 and 190. Be careful - the higher you go the more likely to are to create excess heat on what is already a hot-running card, and fritz your display.
I tried taking it to 200 and had to reboot in safe mode to uninstall the Voodoo O/C because I couldnt see stuff anymore (doh!)
Also your picture quality (I assume you mean the static images) will appear poor, because the benckmark is aiming for 32bit colour, when the Voodoo only provides for 16-bit (ostensibly 24-bit) colour. There not much you can do about that. So long as the moving-image benchmarks look okay, I don't think you have a problem.

PS A clean boot can up your score too. Kill all the background apps.

D'Oh, Cheers folks,
At 180Mhz I'm getting improvements, althought fps in the games are still slightly down (?)but hey, things should improve when I get the new v3 drivers downloaded
