How full is the hard drive? When they are real full, WIN95 gets real unstable.

When I double click on MY Computer the sytem hangs I then do a ctrl-alt-del and get the message THE SYSTEM IS EITHER BUSY OR UNSTABLE. I have a Zentih Z-station vp with 16 mg of RAM and a 514 meg hd, it's a 75mhz, Windows95, I have re-installed windows 95 several times. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT'S CAUSING THIS.
