Nope, I don't believe in organised non-smoking, even if they are trying to increase my life-span. Looking at half of the people where I live, they'd be better off running a national no-McDonalds day

I smoke a cigar once in a while. And I can go on for a long time without a smoke.

I quit last November because smoking was causing asthma and it was not near as hard as I thought. My lungs cleared up within 24 hours. The first few days is the hardest.

My doctor says that if I quit I'll get cancer and die, otherwise I'd give up in a heartbeat! :r

The student unions in Leeds or something tried to ban smokign in its bars, but repealed the ban after loosing £20,000+ in revenue in the few months the trial scheme was running

If you start smoking before you are out of puberty then its been shown to be harder to give up than if you start after.
Something to do with the brain undergoing lots of changes during puberty, so when those changes are finally 'hardwired', the dependance on nicotine becomes hardwired as well.
If you start puffing away after puberty, the brain is not as likely to become addicted to nicotine, thus its easier to quit later on in life.
I've never smoked. Friends did, but I just never saw the point of sucking burnt vegetable matter into my lungs when I could get drunk for less $ :)

WHAT?!
So the Arsenic, Ammonium compounds, Acetaldehyde, Levulinic acid, theobromine, Glycyrrhizin, Pyridine, Coumarin
, Furfural, Methoxycinnamaldehyde and Maltol are actually preventing cancer?
