Keyboard problem with parallel scanner

I had a problem when I connect a Primax parallel scanner, the keyboard did not functioned, it only worked after unplugging and plugging again. This scenario was repeated with more computers and other scanners of the same model. I think it was a problem of that model. But the problem repeated again with other scanner model model with the same characteristics.
