Switching from USB to Ethernet

in connected to broadband with NTL, it was orginally though a USB port but i have no installed a NIC, when i try to set up my ntl accoutn i get this error message

i have no idea why it wont work , i tried to "Fix it" like it said on the program but that didnt helpp any ideas?

Ntl Broad Band - Motorola Surfboard 4100 USB Cable Modem

did you unplug the modem before you changed from usb to ethernet?

Could be authentication issue.

If Midknyte advise will not work, you might need to contact your ISP and report the change.

yeah i did uplug it before the change, i guess i will have to notify them, they both connected now :p i couldnt be bothered to take the etherenet out:t
