Operating System: Windows XP Pro SP1 + all critical updates

Sometimes when I click on a link on a website (no specific website; it happens randomly), my computer restarts. I have no idea why this happens and I was wondering if you guys can help me. Thanks.

I would try running a virus checker and adaware scanning such as Spybot search and destroy.
And please make sure both progs are up to date.

have you tried stopping automatic restart on error yet?

turning down windows' "eye candy" also sometimes helps.

Also, go to www.windowsupdate.com and make sure you have installed the latest patches. Could be the RPC call thing do you think?

No viruses here. I will turn off automatic restart on error and see if I get an error message. Thanks.
