I installed a 3.3v 64MB DIMM into a board with no immediate problems. However the memory count is only showing 16MB. There was a jumper setting to set the voltage but when I set it to 5v machine would not boot. At 3.3 machine boots fine but with only 16mb. The DIMM is not PC-100 and the board does not support this anyway. Any possible ideas why the memory count would be off to such an extent? Thank you

I had this same problem with my computer.
With 4-32mb simm 5v it had 128, ok. With 2-64mb dimm 3.3v, it had 32 mb, 16 ea. Alot of troubleshooting. Finally found that two 32mb SIMM in slot 1&2 with one 64mb dimm would post 128mb. On my board SIMM slots 3&4 linked to DIMM2. A mix of 5v and 3.3v memory was not advised. Motherboard manufacturer admitted to a design defect and replaced it with a REV2 which now reads 2-64mb DIMMS as 128, using same memory modules. I used PNY memory with either hyundai or siemens chips, it all works. The MB I have is a Micronics Twister AT.
Try memory in another computer, seating of memory and one at time. May also be memory incompatability, as a long list of "no"-types were posted by my MB manufacturer.
