Installed, activated and updated Norton SystemWorks 2004 Professional. Now, everytime I attempt to access the program, the computer reboots. I can access other featuares separately, like AntiVirus, but when I attempt the "One Button" repair feature separately, it also reboots. Any suggestions?

Go to Control Panel > System > Advanced > Startup and Recovery. Untick "Automatically restart" and set memory dump to None.
Hopefully, you'll get a blue-screen error with a message next time. Note the error message and the name of the file involved and e-mail Norton support.
I've had tons of trouble with NSW 2004. I'm still using 2003 as a result. I think that Symantec released it too early. I say that because I cannot even install it on fresh versions of XP. If you can't get it to install, you can't get it updated. Ghost has issues, as does NAV.

I'm running NSW 2004 Pro on windows XP Home with no problems. Had an issue with McAfee Privercy at first interfearing. Uninstalled Privercy and everything worked smoothly. So what I am saying is it may be software conflicts. Takes some trial and error.:t

Thx. I'm rinning XP Pro for O/S, no other anti-virus. Don't know what could be conflicting.

Are you running any type of pass word security or privacy program? Like I said, on mine it was the McAfee privacy program causing the conflict. Did you try running the utilities from the disk? I take it that the computer you are talking about is not used online. If it is you may want to run Stinger from the McAfee site or Norton AV from installation disk. I guess you already tried uninstalling NSW and installing one part at a time to see if any particular part was causing the problem. You said "one button check up", If you can get to Utilities, make sure "System Doctor is turned off and try again. I have always found it to be a bit of a hog.
