Hello,

Question. I have a DFI 865pe lanparty mobo.

I can up my frontside bus in 5 % increases and easly hit 3.0 ghz. The only way I can get 3.2 out of my 2.4c is to up my dimm voltage to 2.9v a nice little feature my mobo has :) is this safe for my Ram? also at full load on stock heatsink and fan AT 3.2 I'm Looking at about 56.c so I have it running stock right now until new HS and fan arrive.

my Ram is golden dragon 400 mhz 512 meg 3200.

Just worried about the dimm voltage. any safer method would be great. thanks guys and girls.

also what is max heat I should let this chip put off at 3.0 or 3.2. it is 800 mhz frontside buss with hyper threading.

3d mark 03 scores at stock are 3965. I NEED MORE JUICE!!!!

First things first...what kind of Video card do you have, since...3d2003 is almost soley depending on your Vid Card.
I got ...like 1200 with my old vid card, a Ti4200.
But...I get almost 6K with my 9800Pro, same everything else.

56C is a little warm for a Pentium....that cooler should help. Don't forget, a little Artic Silver 3 or 5 will compliment that cooler...for only a few bucks. Follow AS's advice to a T for it's use. Too much is not a good thing in this case.

What is the stock volts for that RAM? 2.6...would be my guess.

NO way to say whether or not 2.9 is too high...but, if you pop the RAM, that's a good indicator. Can't say you're going to get much improvement from 3.0 to 3.2...honestly.

But...I'm more or less an AMD guy. Nuthin wrong with Intel, I just chose to save a few bucks!

That 2.4C is a great little overclocker, though...

I don't have any experience with Golden dragon personally, but I have read good things about it.

Wow 6k is awesome.

My cousin also has a ti 4200 and only got 1600 lol. I have an invidia XFX 5700 utra duel vivo 128 meg ddr II. I did order artic 5 with a cooler master 4 lite. is this an ok cooler if not I'm only out 16 bucks. By the way this is my first intel build my other system is a 1700 + AMD. :) This intel is killing it though . I like how quit it is. I'll stay at 3.0 I guess when coller gets here. So is going above 50.c ok with a intel chip?

50C is ok, fully loaded. Should improve with AS and a decent cooler.

I wouldn't expect much better results from that video card, regardless...
