Howdy ya'll!!
I did a search but couldn't find what I was looking for. Can anyone tell me where I can find info about unlocking the "B" series of the AMD XP2600+ T-Bred. Far as I can get with this "B" version is 189*12 before it gets unstable. I know I read about increaseing the L Cache by using metalic paint, but I can't remember where.

Have you tried lowering the multiplier and raising the fsb?

I'm not sure what chipset your mobo uses (and can't be bothered to check:rolleyes: ) but if its a nForce 2 you can just up the multiplier by a couple of steps and thats it.
However I guess its probably not a nF board.
If its one of the newer 'superlocked' CPUs you may not be able to lower the multiplier, and certanly not increase it.

Yup :( . NF2 NB on this EP8RDA. Oh well. 12.5 is as high as I have ever been able to go. So I guess it's locked. So 166*12.5 is what I'll live with.
Thanx for the input:t

See what the system will do if you set the fsb to 200 and multiplier to 11.
zybch, if you can't be bothered to check, why post?

Yup! 200Mhz x 11.5 = 2300. No issues at this setting until I run 3DMark03, or try to play a game. Then I get alot of tearing and artifacts, and 3dMark03 just locks up. The most stable setting I have found for gameing is 12.5 x 170 = 2125. I still haven't fooled with the voltage, but as long as my games run ok I,m happy.
