I'm so lost

Ok I have Battlefield 1942. I started a clan. I have a website. Now all I need to do is start a server. I know that I can run a game from my computer although I can't find my game on the Internet games. If I put in my IP address I can find it although if I load it, I get and error that says data differs from server. I got he dedicated server and I'm pretty sure that starts a game in the internet. I have no firewall and if anyone could help that eould be great.

Well I do have a firewall but I meant to say was that the game allows us to get past the firewall.

when I started to run my own server I got the same error, I found out I was running a diffrent Version for a dedicated, so I updated what I needed and it ran fine after that, I dont know if this will help you but it would be something to look into :) let me know what you find, Ill see if I can help you out a lil more, thats if you havent got it allready :)

Ok I've got the 1.6 dedicated server. I started it and then got into battlefield 1942. I tried to go to the server through my IP address but the game couldn't find it. I don't know if you've ever tried to host a server from your computer but if you have please tell me how to do it.

I used to host dedicated Q3 severs back in the day. You just need to google BF1942 Server setup and study. It took me a year to get steady low pings for high speed people on my Q3 servers, and it took alot of reading. Find someone who has succesully set one up on another clan website. That's what I did.
