I got a pritty old PS2 got it when it first came out, works fine, but it wont play region 1 dvd's, which alot of the new ones are. Is there a way to like "flash the bios" of it so it could read it. Or is there another fix for this problem?

there should be a cd that has the dvd drivers on it

version 2.12d I believe is the one I have.

The sony PS2 remote control has a disk that will update older PS2's DVD software. You must have your memory card inserted at all times however because thats where it stores the update.
