Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : I need the "ultimate" W95 boot disk!
I want to be able to put it in and have it detect my cd, then begin to install from the
W95 CD. My friend has a W98 boot disk that
works great, but I cant seem to be able to
make one.
Thanks......

Hello,
I can help with the detecting your cd drive part. I have a disk that boots with CD support. Don't know about the automatic setup though. E-mail me at briaquit@lasierra.edu if you are interested, you can ftp it from me.

It's easy!
Just make a system floppy with CD-ROM support on it (MSCDEX, driver and appropriate lines in the Autoexec and Config files on the floppy). Then, put a last line in the Autoexec file (the one on the floppy) to point to the Setup.exe file on the Windows95 CD-ROM (something like: D:\Setup or whatever letter your CD-ROM drive is). Just make sure you put the Windows95 CD-ROM in at the same time as the floppy and voila!

Easier still, just make a copy of your friend's Win98 boot disk!
