I currently use Mandrake 9.2. It works fairly well. They have done a decent job of setting up utilities to configure the system that most people can use regardless of skill level.

I just downloaded the ISO's for RedHat's Fedora project. I am going to switch to RedHat soon.

Both are good. I have not used RedHat since version 7. I liked it better.

Suse....I checked out the live CD, very good. It detected all my hdd partitions, updated its file system table, put up shortcuts on the desktop, detected the modem.....well it just did everything.

When i rebooted after the install, i just had to configure my net account.:t

I like Slackware and this one (http://www.guiadohardware.info/linux/kurumin/) (look for the "Welcome english reader" line.)
