I installed a new Diamond Supra Express
56e V.90 and ran Checkit--indicates Wave Device for Voice Modem failed on install? Checked Diamond web pages, Operating Instructions & CD, ensured latest update, with no answer. Modem seems to be working fine and running at 50 to 53 bps (old modem never broke 34). System: ASUS TX97E 233MMX OC'd to 262 on Win 95b. Thanks if you have a suggestion.

No problem...yet. If the "missing" wave device for a modem is not important, I'll just ignore.

I think it's only important if you use TAD software or some kind of voice-mail system...

I would try reinstalling the drivers. Download new drviers first. My modem and network card both came with messed up drivers. I downloaded new ones and all was fine.

I'm surprised...although I never expected a response, Diamond sent me a file for the modem wave device--now loaded and no longer showing up as an error.
