A friend's Compaq computer keeps failing to boot and reports invalid partition information.
I run FDISK and it shows a D:drive as primary dos partition of 7MB and a C:drive as primary dos partition of 6Gigs, I deleted the D:drive and all was fine for awhile then when he tried to boot up the next day it was back again. This problem seemed to appear after he installed Norton Utilities. I'm not sure if it is a problem with Norton Utilities or something that Compaq does and Norton just brought it out? I have never seen a "ghost partition" appear before. Have any of you seen this sort of thing happen or have any suggestions? Thanks
