I see a lot of games on eBay with despcriptions like this:

BRAND NEW NEVER BEEN USED 100% AUTHENTIC FROM FACTORY.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE VERSION CAN PLAY WORLDWIDE.
COME WITH UNIQUE AUTHENTIC CD-KEY THAT COMES WITH IT.
GAME IS SHIPPED FROM ASIA.

What is the deal with these? Are they legit?

Ask CBH.. My guess is I doubt it though..

The lack of copyright laws in some Asian countries make it so you're most likely to get "illegal" copies that look quite real.

And since they're probably going to be selling for less than retail (way less) that's just another good sign that it's prolly not legal.

but that's just my opinion

I lived in Korea for 3 years and I can tell u that there are games
there in English. But if I did not see the package my self I would not buy it if it said it was from asia.

In Korea pc games are very popular but when I would go to buy them I would always have to inquire about the language.

Some people would tell me right off the back with out even examining the box that is in English (most of the time it was a burned copy which i refused).

When I would to to Young-san in Seoul (big techno market and you can get a load of pc games there too) I would have to wait arround while someone ran to find a English version, they would have to ask a friend of theirs in another shop if they had that game in English SO they are in Asia but I would be more careful cause burned games are also very popular.

Sad thing is, I was in Iran this summer and you CAN't find anything authentic there, everything is a rip even if you want the real thing and are willing to pay, Well I was a little tempted so I picked up 1, 2, 100 games. WELL NONE OF THEM WORKED SO POOOO

Yeah! You better check out the packages first!

In Singapore, there are game shops that sell Asian games so they can be checked out very easily.
