As unlucky others, I upgraded my system, buying a new mobo M729 from PcChips (AT for slot 1) and a Celeron 333A processor. For the rest, I used my "old" 1x64M RAM Hyundai SDRAM 10 ns and video card Diamond Viper 330 PCI w/4M. The rest (floppy, HD, others) I don't mention because don't matter (I tested then separately and work well, same for memory and video card).
As one could expect, nothing worked - black monitor, no beeps, only a little short activity in the HD.
I checked all the jumpers (even CLEAR CMOS!), I tried 66 Mhz bus w/x5 multiply and even 100 Mhz bus w/3,5 (mobo doesn't have x3,3), and still NOTHING.
Any ideas, help?

Round up the usual suspects:
memory not properly seated in the new mobo
faulty mobo
power lead not properly attached to mobo connector
CPU not firmly seated
Does Power LED light up? Does fan/PSU work?

EVRIKA!
For otherswith the same problem. Solution was at my finger tips!
I had too much fear to push the processor in the conector, so I let it enter untill I hardly saw the contacts (like you usualy do with the ISA and PCI cards). BUT IT WAS NOT ENOUGH! The processor card (slot 1) has 2 rows of contacts and it has to be inserted MORE! Now everything is working! (what a releaf!)

A story with a happy ending! I love stories like that. Nice to hear!
