How to remove Office 2000 without the CD.

Got an old Fujitsu desktop and its MS Office 2000 is corrupted. Want to remove it in Add/Remove but it keep on looking for the CD. How do I remove it without the CD? Win ME.

Get a CD.

If desperate, try this: delete the Office directories and use a registry cleaner like Norton SystemDoctor to clean all the left overs. But I doubt you'll get a new installation running after this...another way is to install Office XP, dunno if there is an update option...

use that installshield cleanup utility to remove Office install data

then use regcleaner or a 3rd party uninstaller to uninstall it and then clean the registry up

Upgraded to Office XP, run the Office Resource Kit (got info from web search) Removal Tool. I'm now okay, although Office 2000 is still in Add/Remove. But it's already Office XP. Thanks.

Get TweakUI and remove Office 2000 from the add/remove menu!
