Call of Duty crashing

I've finished Call of Duty once and I had no problems while playing it. Today I started playing the game again and to my surprise, it crashes on the very first level, near the bunker where some germans are. That didn't happen before. My video card is an ATI 9700 Pro and I am using the lastest drivers. Has anyone else had this problem?

have you try it in multiplayer mod?


do you have C&C Generals if you do try playing it
if it crashes when you try to load game its your video card

clean your CD! if it's crashing around a certain point everytime and never did before then likely cause is that point it's trying to play some background music and crashing out.

then ofc give your CD a good clean and reinstall and patch to the latest version.

Ive got a probem on my second machine whereby COD conks out after random periods of time, if you check out several gaming forums you will find, that despite this games quallity, it is also very buggy and temperemental. Even upgrading/downgrading drivers has doen nothing to help me with it on tuther box
