The advantage of the VIA KT880 DualStream64™ technology is 8Gb of Memory installable in 4 slots.
(KT600 4Gb, Nforce: 3 Slots, but dualchannel mode supports only 2 Slots!)
And dere is the option to connect a Silicone Image SATA PHY (Physikal Layer)
to the Souhtbidge wich provides additional 2 Serial ATA connectors (4 total).
It´s calld SATAlite™ interface and provides RAID 0+1 (KT600: RAID 0, RAID 1 & JBOD)
+ the new VIA Velocity™ Gigabit Ethernet (PCI companion controller)

PS: The South Bridge VT8237 was alredy included in the KT600 with the same 533mb/sec Vlink.

for the "best" sound quality

will this let you install the os with out the need to install drivers for the serial ata drives or is it like the 1st serial ata systems that needed F8 and floppy drive installed the see the serial hard drives ? if fully native and dual channel memo. then it may be time to upgrande my Wife's 22xp to a new MOBO. (still running a KT133a chipset on that one)
