I seem to have lost the colour depth on all icons in Win2k sp4 and it's bugging me now. I'm running a generic TNT2 M64 (well, it's my work machine), and have updated the nView software to the latest version with no luck. Tried a few KB articles with no luck. Messed about with display properties with no luck. Running out of ideas now? Any clues out there?

I'm not really sure what your talking about. Can you post a picture of what one of the icons looks like?

Here is a little bit of it. Notice that IE is v6 sp1, and acrobat 5 looks like NT. SOB Icons :-)

Right click on the desktop>>>properties>>>effects>> make sure that :show icons using all possible colors" is checked, and then apply.

If only it were that simple. That's the first thing I tried unfortunately.
