I have a Creative Riva Tnt card in my PC, I think that because of this my PC does not go into Suspend mode. Someone told me that i will have to make some changes in the Bios. Can someone help me, are there any updated drivers for this , any help will be highly appreciated.

I don't have the TNT but I do have an early version of the RIVA chipset. I have the Velocity 128 from STB. I also have that same problem. I used to have a Matrox Millenium 2 in my box. When I installed the STB Vel. 128, my machine would not go into suspend mode. If I tried to force it manually via the Start -> Shut Down -> Suspend menu option, it would only suspend for about a second and then power right back up again. I sincerely hope that they have been able to fix this problem by now. Please let me know what happens with it.

Have you check the current settings in your power management. Go to control panel and double click power management icon. see if system has defaulted to the "always on" selection. Use help guide to explain settings
for your type of use for the system
