I had my HP M90 19" Monitor for over 5 years, until today. Since about 2 weeks ago the monitor began to flicker for no reason. I would just be typing out homework or using the internet and the screen would flicker, and kind of jump out at you. And the flickering was LOUD and it would repeatedly do it like 7 times back to back. None the less, it reached a climax today when the monitor began to emit a terrible smell. That's when we pulled the plug. Luckily we have a 5 year warranty (it will expire in 2 months  ) and I am VERY happy it happened now rather than 2 month's down the road. We get a replacement one in 7-10 days. :t

Sounds like one of your guns died. Does your warranty allow you to replace the monitor with one a bit more modern?

I assume that my M90 monitor is discontinued anyway (the latest drivers it has drivers are Windows 98 non-SE), so I think they will send me another model. But I'm not sure. :(
