Under my device manager and Sytem Devices is my Pci bus. Next to it is a yellow excamation point. When I double click on the device Windows sais that the device is not working properly. Any PCI card besides my graphics card doesn't work. I have a MPEG2 decoder card and a Sound Blaster Live card that do not work on my system.(I tried the SBLive on a friends system and it worked) Windows fails to even detect either of the two cards. What is wrong? I would appreciate any help. I have a SuperP6SBA motherboard.
Thanx

1. Re-install your o/s....check
2. Re-flash the bios......check
3. Re-turn the motherboard.....get check.!!!

Are you using a board with the MVP3 chipset? If so, you must install the chipset patch.

In Control Panel, System, go to PCI Bus, Properties, Resources. If there is an IRQ conflict maybe it can be manually changed.

A little more information from you would be helpful - did you just get the motherboard, is this a new system? I sounds like you need a patch or driver for the motherboard before you go any further. Sometimes just installing the patch or driver and rebooting will clear up the problem. Then try Windows "Add New Hardware" from the Control Panel.
If that doesn't clear things up....
and you are confident that you have all the latest drivers and have loaded them correctly, AND you have ALL the drivers for your ALL your other devices, try removing the "PCI BUS" under the Device Manager/"System" catagory and reboot your computer (first you may want to temporarily copy all drivers that come on CDs to the hard disk because Windows may not be able to access the CDROM while redetecting and installing some components/ note that you will have to browse to the drivers folder you create and tell windows where to look for the drivers) - Windows will begin to detect virtually every system component again, so have the drivers standing by. This should clear up your yellow !!!! and put back on the road to installing the sound blaster.
