I have an amid motherboard, MB-8433UUD. It will not boot beond "updating ESCD...". I haven't a clue as to how to work around this.

Wes wlschaefer@waveone.nst GVolosky 02-03-1999, 08:23 AM Pull all your cards except the video and move it to another slot, Pull your Ide cables leaving only the floppy put a boot disk ( DOS or Your O/S ) in the A drive and see if it boots- If not my guess is a corrupt BIOS or bad Mobo.... The reason why I ask is when I had my AMD K6-2 300 running at 400 (4 x 100) and 427(4.5 x 95) I was getting the exact same error. Before you ask NO it doesn't run stable at these speeds.I do however run it at 380 mhz (4 x 95) and haven't seen the error since. SysOpt.com
