Plenty of drive left. Not using NT or anything requiring "permissions" just plain old 95 and when I go to install a new program it states it can't write to the "default" Install directory....
Any insight would be helpful...
Thanx,

Why dont you just click on explorer and generate up your own folder and install the program to that folder. Name it installed games or something to that effect so you wont have a problem finding it again. When the setup screen for the program comes up just type in the folder you want the game put into--that will be the folder that you just generated and proceed with the install. It is not necessary that it be installed in the default folder. Is this by chance a DOS game?

95 won't let me create any folders or install any apps to any folders........It's like I'm locked out from creating any new directories (Folders).....The Install Wizards report an error similar to "Can"t access the folder or directory on this path -(then it states the path)

When you right-click on the desktop, do you see a menu choice called New? Can you create a new folder this way? Did you recently install the Windows Desktop Update?

We've narrowed it down to a Utility that's locking the "C" drive while it's loaded - Either disk defrag scandisk or some anti-virus program....
When I get the answer I'll Post it...
Thanx
