Would most agree that on a Windows network of primrarily Win2000 and WinXP workstations ... and 98% non-computer savvy employees, that it would be good policy to set automatic updates to automatically download AND INSTALL without user intervention? I ask because of the most recent vulnerability mentioned by M$. And, I have a network of 75 computers with fewer than 5 of those folks knowing what a windows update is or how to perform it, etc.

My thought is ... pick the lesser of two evils ... thoughts?
Thanks,
Brian

too right, most wouldn't know the difference between a virus or an update, they actually trust microsoft products.

never mind, one day all will be secure.

Go ahead and do auto updates. If you want to be one more step ahead, load SUS from MS and control all of the updates from the server and the AD.
