Outlook Express & Open IE in new windows

This one has been puzzling me for a long long time!

I want to click on a link in Outlook express AND HAVE IT OPEN IN A NEW WINDOW in IE every time but it just didnt work properly!

Supposedly the internet options / reuse windows for shortcuts unticked is supposed to accomplish this!

I eventually found the solution was to edit file associations in explorer for http but it randomly seems to reset and voila I cant open in new windows again!

It seems it is due to helper apps resetting DDE settings.

Hope some of ya find it useful but by the looks of things everyone is moving over to Mozilla!

Hey omen, I still use IE sometimes and in OE, the "SHIFT+ click url" thingy works just at it does in IE....tried that?

I use a program called heldup in conjunction with the open in new window gig...

Heldup basically keeps outlook express open as the main window and opens up each ie window in the background and its free!

Just cant get away from ie although i use myie2 too it fixes both issues!
