Ti4200 or Ti4600 ?

Ok this is probably going to sound like a really cheap question But i was going to get a Ti4200 at newegg for $124.99 but then i saw a Ti4600 for $ 140.00 So is it worth the extra $16.00 bucks to go ahead and get the Ti4600 ?? is the Ti4600 really an improvement over the TI4200? I'm kind of tight on money at the moment so that $16.00 can go for a pizza

I am by no means an ATI fanboy, but I feel that it would be an injustice not to reply to your thread. I have a GeForce 4 Ti 4400 which performs pretty good and overclocks well. But I built my brother a system identical to mine (MB, RAM, Proc, HD) except for his system had a Radeon 9600 Pro. His system performed significantly better than mine in 3DMark 2001, 2003, and Aquamark without being overclocked. And it overclocked very well.

So if you are so inclined, check out the Sapphire Radeon 9600 Pros for a great deal.

If money is tight, get a Ti 4200. Nice o/c'er. But a TI 4600 will give you faster out of the box performance. But, like I said, I think a 4200 might be a better choice for you. :t

I decided to spend just a little more money and bought a Ti4600-8X instead of the Ti4200. I found the Ti4600-8X at Newegg for only $140.00 whereas the Ti4200 at newegg was selling for $124.00 so for $16.00 dollars more i think i got a good deal.
