Hi all.
Ok i am totally confused on video cards so if you can help me choose on which of these cards i have finally decided on that would be great.
The choices are...

Asus Geforce4-8x Ti4200 128mb = $ 124.99 at Newegg

or

Gigabyte 9200 128mb = $ 64.00 At Newegg

or

Chaintech FX 5600 Ultra 128mb = $ 129.00 at Newegg

or

Sapphiretech, Atlantis 9500np, 64mb = 121.00 at Zipzoomfly

I know these's are all low end cards but becouse of budget this is what i could find. I am into playing games so the card would have to be of use for that.
Thanks all for any help.
My system ( intill i upgrade it in a couple of monthes to a Amd burton 2500+ )

A7v8x Asus motherboard ( i know old but i'll be upgrading soon )
Amd cpu 1800+
MSI 16bit (ouch!) MX200 ( double ouch! ) video card

Out of the cards listed the ti4200 and 9500np are your best options. The 128MB vs 64MB of VRAM would push me to the ti4200.

Ditto for above, BUT, if you could dig up 'round $50 more, US, you could get a FX 5900 non ultra, with that 2500 an the FX 5900 you'd get awsome FPS!

Sapphiretech, Atlantis 9500np, 64mb = 121.00 at Zipzoomfly

Unfortunately, it isn't the Pro version, but it gets my vote

Well my budget is really tight ( whimper ) so i think i'll have to stick with one of the ones listed above. But if i could come up with a little more is the FX 5900NP better than the 9500NP?
But if i do stick with one of my choices the 9500 or the Ti4200??
Also can anyone tell me what the differance is between the Ti4200-8X and the normal Ti4200?

Way better!

The Ti4200 performs slightly less than the 9500 Pro, but I'd still go for the 9500 NP because of it's Directx9 support

BFG Asylum 5900s (2.2ns) with free Call of Duty are going for as low as $155.

9500 and mod it to 9700. Have a look on ebay or something....you may well get a 9600pro for near 150 buckaroos!

I'm with Iceblue, a 5900 would beat a 9500 64 meg in most cases. If you don't want that, I would get a Ti 4200 or a 5600 Ultra. 5600 performs better with features on like AA and AF than the Ti 4200, but the Ti 4200 has some nice raw muscle to it. :t

The 64 megs Vram would kill your system performance for todays games. Forget AA and AF completely, especially at higher resolutions. Doom 3 is suppose to take up 80 megs of vid ram. I'd save a little more or get the 4200 ti.
