hey, i have a G4 Ti4200, and i just ordered a thermaltake cooler for it. I was wondering, how much does this help? I probably could have asked this before i bought it, but oh well. Any responses would be great

It works. I don't know if it works better. I just needed one that worked and spun.

You MIGHT get another 5 mhz out of the core. The rest of the board is the real limiting factor on those chips. If you have an Albatron, MSI, or Leadtek I could see you getting a few more megahertz. Most other brands, might not even change. The core doesn't run all that hot on them and generally components onboard hold the card back. So quality card, you'll get something, normal card, little to nothing.

Welp here's how it works

My brother has a Ti4200 and the stock cooler fan stopped spinning no telling how long it was like that, but anyway it damaged the card.

So he ordered the Thermaltake cooler and put its fan on the stock heatsink and it would crash like in a few minutes of playing warcraft. When he switched to the Thermaltake cooler it would play warcraft for about 45 mins the it would reboot. But know he has a 5900 and the problem is solved. What I was saying is it helps a little bit.:t

He went with another Nvida card cause of you could get a decent card for cheap with the VIVO built in.:p
