Let me know if it works. Insert and explore your Win200 disk. Open up the BOOTDISK folder, then double click Makeboot. You will need 4 formatted disks. Hope it works. Deeked NDC 09-12-2001, 07:19 PM Keep in miind that if the partition(s) you're attempting to format is NTFS, FDISK will not be able to format it, you will have no access to it since Win98 cannot recognize NTFS or NTFS5 file systems. You will have to delete the NON-DOS partition in the partition table and recreate a FAT or FAT32 partition and then format it. edwelly 09-12-2001, 07:45 PM Kordam: What are you trying to do? If you want to reinstall Win2000 but format first, then just reinstall and choose the option to format first. If you are trying to format and then install a different OS, I do not think you can due to Win2000 being "DOS free". If you want to do the later, what I would recommend doing is hooking up another HD and setting it as the master and then boot the PC up. Go into the command prompt and type in FORMAT x: (X being the drive you want to format. It will ask you two questions and select Y for both. I hope this helps… - http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif-edwelly SysOpt.com
