Does anyone know of a program that lets you get rid of the color bars that are left on the words on a icon?

I dont understand the question. If your looking for an Icon Editor go to www.downloads.com (http://www.downloads.com) and do a search for Icon Editors . About two dozen of them will pop up.

Are you talking about the backround color behind the text of a Desktop icon? That's the Desktop backround color showing through your wallpaper. You can adjust the Desktop backround color so it kind of blends in with your wallpaper under Display Properties>Appearance

The only way I know to completely eliminate it in Win9.x is to set the wallpaper to "none".

Yes, I am talking about the color behind the text on the icons.. Thanks for the help.
The reason I wanted to get rid of the color behind the text is because when I put up a wallpaper the colors behind the text mess up the hole backround, it just looks funny.. I have had no wallpaper for a long time now, just a blue backround, and I am looking for a nice backround but I dont want to have that color behind the text mess up the look of the picture I use. I am pretty sure that I have seen a program that lets you get rid of this, but I wasn't interested in it at the time because I had no wallpaper and the color behind the text doesn't show up when you have no wallpaper because its the same color. I will search some more and see what I can find, Thanks!!!

I just thought of something else. About a week or two ago, there was a post that mentioned something about a program that allows you to make icons on your desktop invisible untill they are highlighted.. That would do the trick. Do you know what that program is?? Thanks again...

You can go one step further. How about no name icons? http://sites.netscape.net/sdfford/desktop3.jpg
